Description
Inside of bonsai capsule/terrarium, you will find plant compositions made of Ficus microcarpa, moss, gravel, soil.
This Ficus bonsai likes to get a haircut done from time to time, but don’t worry! You won’t meet any other bonsai more patience with your first cuts. He is super easy going and thriving with most conditions, are far as it is not in direct sunlight 🙂 He might also put new air roots (white, hairy, fast-growing) when humidity is higher, so, stay tuned!
Worth mentioning is also fact that this species of tropical fig produce aerial roots once humidity is high enough (at least 80% of humidity). The process is really fast, so don’t be surprised as one day you notice tiny white roots emerging from branches or trunk. They rapidly reach moss or soil and start to dig even deeper. After some time they turn brown and start to resemble Angkor Wat trees with twist and tassels of roots.

Each capsule comes with a name tag and its own character, bonsai terrariums are male and are named after compositors 🙂

Short care tips for bonsai terrarium/flaschengarten:
Water 1 to 2 times a year on average depending on the moisture level of the moss.
Prune once a year, preferably on March
Keep out of direct sunlight, and at least 1 meter from the windows
