Golden Larch Bonsai Capsule (7 years)
Green self-efficient ecosystem with bonsai as a centrepiece, finished with moss and gravel.
Plant compositions: Pseudolarix amabilis, moss, gravel, soil.
This beautiful bonsai is 7 years old, his name is Irving and since last year lives in the capsule. He is deciduous tree what means that around November, after changing foliage colour to yellow, he loses his leaves, and stays like that till springtime. After overwintering (as a classic bonsai, in colder temperatures), he puts new leaves and branches. In case of any question about winter care of him, just write to us, we will be happy to guide you.
Despite the fact that he won’t be a winter decoration of your place, observing how he unfold at springtime is rewarding. Trust me. Or ask any bonsai owner. The gardener should know it too.
Irving prefers bright rooms, but not direct sunlight.

Important notes on pruning and pinching
- Pruning:
Structural pruning is done in winter when the leaves have fallen as it is easier to work. - Pinching:
New shoots are cut back when they are still soft. You can also let them grow and in winter cut them back to the first of second bud. - Wiring:

Short care tips for terrarium/flaschengarten:
Water 1 to 2 times a year on average depending on the moisture level of the moss.
Prune once a year.
Keep out of direct sunlight.
