Plant compositions: Hemionitis arifolia, Calathea Makoyana, Hedera helix ‘Spearpoint’., moss, gravel, soil.
The tiny garden composition inside a terrarium hand-made in Berlin, inside of recycled eco-glass which has a slightly greenish tint and tiny air bubbles within its structure. The capsule is closed with a cork lid.
Each capsule has its own name and personality, this is Emma:)
Emma is the capsule from the berlin black series (simple terrariums, with no white stripes, just black soil and green of the plants).
Emma special feature is self-propagated heart leaf fern (Hemionitis arifolia). It is a small, slowly growing fern with leaves in the shapes of heart. The green of its foliage perfectly underline violet shades of Calathea Makoyana. The decorative muster of Calathea has two faces, as she moves her leaves up and down during a day cycle – in the evening the leaves are folded together and in the morning they are unfolded again. It is known under two common names: Peacock Plant and Cathedral Windows, both making a good point.
H: 30 cm, D: 19 cm
Each capsule is unique and may differ from the photos shown.
